Director for International Safety and Security

Catey Williams has worked in the field of international education and international risk management for over 15 years. As the Director for International Safety and Security, she is charged with university-wide international safety, security and risk management. 

Catey has significant expertise in responding to emergencies abroad, monitoring global events and activities that may impact university travelers, and preparing students and scholars for international travel.  Catey is a leader in travel risk management and serves on various committees of the professional organization PULSE: Higher Education Health, Safety, and Security Professionals. Prior to Georgetown, she worked in international education at Bucknell University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Loyola University Maryland.  Catey holds a bachelor’s degree from Mount St. Mary’s University and a master’s degree from American University.
